Lee Roy Selmon's tale combines the football scholarship of his parents and a commitment to his community. First family, he's the youngest of the nine children born to Lucious the Jessie and Lucious Selmon. The family lived on a family farm near Eufala, Oklahoma. Two soccer. He is one of the three brothers that participated in the football team of Oklahoma. Three of them were All-Americans. Lucious Jr. Dewey, Lee Roy, and Lucious Jr. Dewey started the 1973 season. Lee Roy received the Outland and Lombardi Awards for being the best lineman of the US. In his time as the starting quarterback for Oklahoma and Sooners' starting quarterback, they went 32-1-1 and won two national championships. Third scholarship he was named a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete in 1975. Selmon graduated with a degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Lee Roy was involved in volunteer work ten hour per week during his time at college. After graduating Lee Roy relocating to Tampa and spent the next nine years playing for the Buccaneers. 3 times he was named All-Pro. Then he began his business career. His first job was as a Account Relations Officer with First Florida Bank, Tampa. He has worked in the past for Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. This is why the Junior Chamber of Commerce designated Lee Roy as one of the 10 most notable young men in the country. While a student Lee Roy was 6-2 and weighs a little over 256 lbs. He was captain of his college team in the year 1975. In 1993 he was appointed assistant director of the University of South Florida. He was named associate director of athletics by the College Football Hall of Fame was named for the player in the year 1988. GTE Academic All-America Hall of Fame in 1994. Pro Football Hall of Fame, in 1995. In 1989 the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation awarded the Distinguished American Award, to Mr. Lucious Selmon and his wife. Henry Bellmon, the governor of Oklahoma presented it.
