Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor Director Producer and vocalist. She is an attractive, intelligent actress who inspires numerous Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. Through a succession of appearances in various popular television series she gained fame as she was a part of the ensemble of the show Legal Comedy Ally McBeal where she played the evil Ling Woo. Her sudden fame translated into film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. She then delivered an impressive performance in the role of Japanese criminal O'Ren ishii as part of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. At the same time, she also portrayed leading roles in several films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small screen roles did not achieve any recognition. Southland's critically acclaimed series on police, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu revive her career role as an actress.
