Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington has been an actor, journalist, philanthropist and author for more than ten years. She also is the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. Her birthplace was in Greece and relocated to England when she was sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA of Economics. As the first non-English speaking student to graduate, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. Her success as a conservative columnist was consolidated after she graduated. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online platform for voice that gave an honest assessment of the current politics. It was possible for her to recruit several prominent contributors who posted their views on culture and politics. Arianna was famous after she was elected as an independent candidate in the California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. Alongside that, she was also the leader of the Detroit campaign to encourage fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes placed her at 12 on their list of the Top Popular Media Women. In 2011 AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media company, which also included a number of at the time-current AOL properties too such as Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Her parents were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was a management consultant and journalist. Although she was a close friend to her father, it was her relationship with her mother that shaped her entire life. From her early years, she displayed leadership qualities that remain highly respected. She moved to England at sixteen to further her studies and was accepted into Girton College Cambridge. In the time of her studies, she belonged to Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first woman president, and also the only president from outside the country. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of Master's in Economics. She was a journalist, a TV host and a columnist after her graduation.
