Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. Amy Smart was born and raised in California, USA. She began her modeling career in Italy. Her acting debut came in 1996, when she appeared in her debut in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. Following a long and difficult battle her way to a role, she got a chance as "Starship Troopers" her role in Starship Troopers. She struggled with the transition to acting as actors were never considered an actor, so they generally were offered small parts. Amy was never discouraged. Her first big role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. In 2005, Amy took as the lead in the romantic comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy attained the fame she'd been seeking for nearly 10 years when her film, Just Friends was released. She then continued to appear in many of the greatest films including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she played an enduring character.
